Right from its inception, Goldi’s growth has never stopped. In just ten years, we have grown exponentially from 10 MW to 500 MW manufacturing capacity. Subsequently, we aim to add another 2000 MW, leading to a capacity of 2.5 GW by the end of FY21-22. We also plan to foray into solar cell manufacturing with our third facility by FY22-23. We plan to set up 5 GW in the next four years.

Meet the Founders
Two passionate gems founded Goldi Solar. With varied and rich experience in different fields and industries, they bring additional skillsets which give the company an edge over its peers. Under their direction, the organization has proved to be one of the fastest-growing in the solar industry.
The management team at Goldi consists of innovators and problem-solvers with a zeal to make the world better place. They also develop and bring out the best in our employees and believe in the work philosophy of taking people with them.
Head - Operations
Mehul is an operational activist for Goldi Solar. Being a successful leader, he is leading business operations and service delivery, executing business strategy and ensuring operational excellence across the fraternity over last 20 years.
A pioneer and the partner in the field of Budget Management & Control, Process Management, Financial Management (planning & forecasting), Strategic Planning, Project Management, Change Management & Risk Management across multiple renewable based industries, business domains, technologies & geographies. He has strong knowledge of Governance, Risk, and Compliance relevant in the market and has leadership skills to manage various stakeholders.
Mehul is having a proven track record for leading high Growth with Entrepreneurial bent of mind and successful in shaping winning Brand & pricing strategies. Wired to lead Transformational changes in VUCA & stressful scenarios. Global perspective, culturally savvy, highly adaptable, having lived and worked with diverse cultures. Passionate about making a positive difference.
Being a COE expert his specialties: Budget planning & allocation, margin optimization, setting up & monitoring progress of performance targets and KPI reporting to leadership, business continuity management, managing operational risks & operating processes, improving contribution of support functions to operations, staffing & people development skills.
Head – Business Development EPC
Sachin leads the EPC vertical as Business Head. He has a strong knack for taking business verticals from start-ups to leading giants in his segment. He has more than 17 years of experience across solar, coal and construction projects with companies such as Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd., Reliance Power Ltd., Larsen & Toubro Ltd., Thermax Ltd. and Jindal Stainless Ltd.
He has won several leadership awards like Solar Industry’s Young Gun; Best Project Manager, “ICONS” (Immense Contribution of Noteworthy Significance). All above professional experience is supplemented with a Master’s degree from Great Lakes Institute of Management and BE – Mechanical from NIT Durgapur.
Head – Finance & Accounts
Hemal is responsible for the overall accounting, taxation and financial planning activities of the company and focuses on providing strategic recommendations to grow Goldi Solar’s long-term value and competitiveness. He manages the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and oversees the preparation of all financial reporting. Hemal also reviews all formal finance, HR and IT related procedures. He ensures optimum utilization of the assets of the company.
Hemal is striving to build the golden team that delivers industry leading earnings growth and cash generation as well as finest systems & processes aligned to the organizational goals.
He has been designated as a “Fellow Chartered Accountant” by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce.
Head – Admin & EPC
Alpesh is the first and oldest employee of Goldi Solar and has seen the tremendous growth of the company from scratch. His tenure with company has seen him don different hats from roles as diverse as accounts, admin, EPC, logistics, HR and even PR.
Currently, he oversees the EPC division of the company and brings operational efficiency to Goldi Solar with over years of 15 years of experience working in reputed companies.
Alpesh graduated in financial management from one of the top business school in Europe – Grenoble Graduate School of Business. He also completed a Finance & Accounting course from London School of Business. Prior to Goldi, he worked with John Lewis Plc. and Lenox in London for seven years.
Head – Purchase
Jayesh has years of qualitative working experience in strategic sourcing, material planning, material costing, new supplier development, supplier evaluation and SAP material management module handling.
At Goldi, he is responsible for organizing, controlling and maintaining a central facility for the procurement of all goods & services and contracts at best competitive price and quality advantage. He brings to the table good negotiation skills and ensures buying happens in accordance with quality and commercial procedures as defined by company guideline.
Jayesh also ensures the smooth supply of material, equipment and other items to the company, reduces cash flow impact through effective supply-chain management and partnerships with vendors.
Head – Production
Dharmesh is Goldi’s business operations and service delivery expert. He ensures seamless functioning of supply chain and operations to maximize quality, minimize risk and deliver a competitive product to the global renewable market.
As a quality management leader, he has successfully created multiple processes to benefit the company. He tightens processes and manufacturing practices to achieve unprecedented quality performance. He instigates a team-spirited approach to maximize the use of talent and has built a significant number of leaders within the company.
Dharmesh’s capabilities include Quality Assurance, Process Engineering, Project Management, Multi- Cultural Business Protocol, Contract Negotiations, Six Sigma/ Lean/ Kaizen, New Product Launch, Manufacturing & Supply Chain, Operations, Process Improvement, Resource Management, Strategic Planning and Vendor Management.
Head – Marketing & Communications
Rajat oversees marketing, branding and corporate communications and is involved in defining, developing and implementing a comprehensive and integrated communications program for Goldi. With an innate understanding of communication requirements, he provides counsel to company leadership and senior management to help build a strong brand.
Having worked extensively with large conglomerates, both Indian and International, Rajat has gained an in-depth understanding of a gamut of businesses over the last 13 years.
His expertise includes public relations, integrated communications, digital campaigns, policy advocacy, events, brand building, perception management, opinion leader programs, liaising with government & trade bodies, stakeholder engagement, media launches, brand management, communication strategy, crisis management.
Head – quality
Hiren has extensive experience of two decades in the renewable energy sector specifically in Quality Management, Process Engineering, Production, Commissioning and O&M.
He is responsible for consistence and excellent product and service quality, strengthening quality of the processes and product through implementing best practices, and working with various suppliers at Goldi. He is adept at creating Quality Improvement projects through various quality tools like PFMEA, SPC. He has a track record of driving Quality Management Programs, QIPs, Skill Enhancement Programs, Lean and Kaizen Implementation.
Hiren has a degree in Power Electronics. He started as a worker in a manufacturing facility and has worked his way up to hold leadership positions in various companies.
Need to transition towards a sustainable energy future
About 80% of India's electricity needs is met by fossil fuels. India is also heavily dependent on energy from other countries to fuel its growth, adding to global warming. By 2030, India's dependence on energy imports is expected to exceed 53% of the country's total energy consumption. Hence, we must take into consideration the odds of losing power when we need it most.
Given this defining moment, solar power is emerging as a mainstay power supply technology and is expected to increase contribution significantly to the energy mix. 1 kW solar power saves 77 kg coal from being burned and 136 kg of CO₂ being released into the atmosphere. Solar clearly makes the most compelling case for both the environment and the economy.

Bag distribution to Dudhala Primary School, Lathi
Goldi Solar has been an advocate of girl child education to address the problem of gender-inequality and empowering women for self-reliance by providing sewing machines and other skill development activities. We have managed to put smiles on children’s faces with simple activities such as bag distribution.
Plantation drive in Gujarat
At Goldi Solar, we believe in giving back to the world whenever we get a chance. On Nature Conservation Day 2021, we kickstarted a Tree Plantation Drive to plant 25,000 trees across Gujarat
Goldi Solar partners with SRK Knowledge Foundation to solarize the entire village of Dudhala, Gujarat
Goldi Solar in partnership with Shree Ramkrishna Knowledge Foundation (SRKKF) has laid the foundation stone for the solarization of the village of Dudhala in Southern Gujarat. 450 KW solar rooftop projects will be used to power around 350 houses and public areas such as anganwadis and gram panchayat. Once complete, this would be the first village to be completely powered with solar panels by a foundation. Instead of providing financial aid, this move will empower close to 2000 lives to earn money from the solar rooftop systems.
Food Distribution For Students Of Bahera Munga School in Amreli
Goldi Solar undertook food distribution for students of Bahera Munga School in Amreli, which helps those students with hearing and speech impairment. Government approved syllabus is used to teach the students here, and hearing aids are provided to them as well. They are also empowered with Sign Language.
Organising Mid-day Meals For Students Of Blind School in Amreli
As part of its CSR outreach, Goldi Solar organized meals for the students of Blind School, Amreli. The school takes up the task of helping students learn Braille and Taylor frame. Considering the overwhelming response, Goldi is considering making this a regular, annual activity.
Brightening the nights in the aftermath of the Uttarakhand disaster
Heavy rains in June 2013 caused landslides and floods in Uttarakhand, causing destruction and heavy loss to life and property. Specifically, the loss of infrastructure, including water and electrical power supply in the villages and rescue camps made life extremely difficult for the survivors, rendering the areas without light. Goldi Solar went an extra mile and offered solar lanterns in places with no power at all. Nearly 500 lanterns were distributed to the affected to help them continue their routine life post-sunset.
Skill development center at Pipodara to create employment opportunities
A large majority of employees at Goldi Solar are from the tribal areas of Surat. To empower the tribal youth, Goldi Solar provides in-depth training, equipment, curriculum, and mentored co-teaching. This helps them earn and live a respectable life, along with creating employment opportunities. Over 300 tribals have been absorbed by the solar industry so far.
Adoption of schools in Lathi Taluka, Amreli district in Gujarat, India
With the aim of improving the quality of education through the adoption of schools, Goldi Solar has adopted a few schools in Lathi Taluka, Amreli district. Till date, we have supported many children from primary education to high schooling. Apart from improving the premises and infrastructure, as a part of this initiative, we have also helped integrate technology into classroom teaching, improved pedagogy and educational techniques.
Construction of healthcare facility for improved and timely healthcare
Matru Shree Santokbaa Medical Centre, Lathi, Gujarat was established to provide free healthcare to the residents of the village. Specialists visit once every fortnight. While approximately 300 patients from nearby villages visit this center, the facility also provides treatment and medicines with the help of a mobile dispensary. Till now, we have touched over 1000 lives in the region.
Fodder distribution and water harvesting project
Scanty rainfall and rising temperatures caused severe drought in the summer of 2019 in several areas of Gujarat. Dudhala village, Amreli district was also one of the drought-hit villages. Goldi Solar distributed fodder and set up a water harvesting project to help the people.
Food donation and essentials to the underprivileged during COVID-19
Goldi Solar was one of the many corporates that showed great enterprise and tried to ease the distress of marginalized individuals during the lockdown earlier in 2020. We reached out to over 1000 households and distributed tons of ration, and other essentials including medicines and personal care material to help them survive the pandemic.
